My debut is coming up and I want to look the part as a wrestler, any ideas for my hair?
My hair right now is long, past my chest and is a dirty blonde. I am open to creative ideas but I will not dye my hair black.

I don’t see how any of this is funny?

Who cares about your hair, really. You should be worrying more about your wrestling skills more then anything. This isn’t some beauty pageant.

What is one positive and one negative about the user above you favorite wrestler?

Posted by admin on July 5th, 2010 and filed under wrestler | 7 Comments »

You have to say one positive about the user’s above you favorite wrestler?

My Favorite wrestler is Kurt Angle. (First answerer gives a pro and con about Kurt Angle)
BQ: Would your favorite wrestler have a good match with the user’s above favorite wrestler?

I think the one above mine is Kurt Angle
one good thing about him is he is an amazing wrestler
a bad thing is he used to have horrible roid rages

my fave is either evan bourne or john morrison on wwe, and on tna would be motor city machine guns, as tag team, AJ Styles, and samoa joe

    BQ: heck yeah

What’s the average salary for a sumo wrestler, and how does one become a sumo wrestler?

Posted by admin on July 3rd, 2010 and filed under wrestler | 4 Comments »

If this career pays well, I will consider sumo wrestling as a side career. However, I am thin and athletic which perhaps will not meet the requirements for becoming a sumo wrestler. Could I still become a sumo wrestler if I duct tape several pillows around myself?

I don’t know that the pillow thing would work, here is how you eat like a Sumo wrestler.

Sumo wrestlers are geniuses at gaining weight. Here, according to Mary Roach, contributing editor of Health Magazine is how they do it:

Skip Breakfast – it slows your metabolism
Exercise on an empty stomach – it slows your metabolism even more
Take a nap after you eat – your body has to store the food instead of use it
Eat bigger meals late in the day – your body has to store more food

Good luck in your endeavor :)

The top 50 wrestlers of yesterday and today…#3 – Bret Hart

Posted by admin on July 2nd, 2010 and filed under wrestler | 5 Comments »

I grew up watching Bret Hart especially in Stampede Wrestling. I’ve watched this man wrestle hundreds, if not thousands of times. He really is one of the greatest wrestlers that ever lived. Great execution, and could pull a good match out of a broom if he had to.
For this video, I tried to use rare footage I have that no one else has seen, mostly from Stampede Wrestling so you can see another side of Bret Hart’s career. I hope you enjoy the #3 wrestler on my list….Bret Hart.

Who do you think has been the most dedicated wrestler to any individual company?

Posted by admin on June 30th, 2010 and filed under wrestler | 13 Comments »

In other words, Which wrestler do you think has dedicated more to the company there in, this could mean any promotion.

I’d say Sting to WCW. He was with them basically right from the start up until the very bitter end. All throughout his tenure with WCW, and especially when he was the hottest star in the world at the beginning of 1998, Sting had numerous offers to jump ship to the WWF, but he never did, even when WCW came crashing down all around him.

Until it finally died for good in 2001, WCW was spiralling down deeper and deeper in the ratings war with the WWF due to increasingly poor stories and horrible, non-sensical storylines that were a far cry from their glory days just a few years before. Sting was asked to take part in some truly dreadful angles, and consented to join up with the NWO multiple times even though it went totally against the momentum of his character. During all that time, he never complained, never whined and never pouted (are you listening Buff Bagwell?). In the early years, when Eric Bischoff was cobbling money together from Ted Turner to sign Hulk Hogan, Sting agreed to re-sign for less money than what he was paid in his previous contract, just purely for the good of the company so they could afford to land Hogan.

Even when all of WCW’s biggest stars left for greener pastures or "took time off" when the ratings began to plunge, Sting was the consumate professional. He stayed with the company and did everything he could to keep WCW afloat.

When WCW did fold, he didn’t sign with the WWE. Displaying an incredible amount of character, Sting turned down a big contract and a ton of money to stay true to the principals that had made him one of, if not the, most respected professionals in the history of the business. He didn’t like the direction the WWF/E was heading with their raunchy "Attitute Era" programming and therefore sat out until TNA hit the scene, and since then, even though he’s had to battle injuries and has come and gone, he’s been a tremendous performer for TNA. His presence lends them an incredible amount of credibilty, just like Kurt Angle’s does. Because TNA is now progressing up the ladder in terms of public attention, much of that credit has to go to Sting.

He showed up for work every day, did his job to the best of his ability and gave the fans the best show he could. Sting represented the very best of WCW, and he is what I choose to remember about that time in wrestling.
